| A historical client using shrink hood machines, Casalgrande Padana put BOCEDI in charge of its strapping and stretch hood machine supply. Choosing the stretch hood machine has been a decision driven by the will to optimize the energetic resources, reduce the waste of plastic material and offer an ecolabel product on the market. In fact, the stretch hood system allows the consumption of plastic material to be reduced on each pallet of tiles and it eliminates the use of gas and the associated exhaust fumes, reducing the level of pollution in the surrounding environment and improving the safety of the workers. Moreover, the stretch hood plastic material is recyclable, contrary to the one used for other machines. Each BOCEDI line is able to deal with a production of 60 p/h, strapping and stretching different pallet formats on the same line, thanks to the automatic monitoring. Moreover, with the stretch hood system, the product obtains a very high visibility, being removed the wrinkled effect typical of other materials. The machine has been designed to exploit the resistance and elasticity advantages of the stretch hood film. Through the stretch hooder BOCEDI, a custom-made stretch hood film is obtained for the pallets, thanks to a cutting and welding operation that comes after unwinding process of the film. Then, a grippers’ system stretches the hood so that it perfectly fixes the palletized load. The pallet is completely covered with waterproof material and it is protected from dusts and atmospheric agents.
